Warranty Policy

SOISU Furnitures LLP | Effective Date: April 2026 | Applies to all products purchased from SOISU

Overview

SOISU stands behind the quality of every product we deliver. Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the periods specified below. We want you to enjoy your furniture with complete peace of mind.

This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Sale of Goods Act, 1930.

1. Warranty Coverage

What is Covered

Frame

5 years from the date of delivery.

Covers: structural defects in the solid wood or metal frame, including warping, cracking, or joint failure under normal use.

Foam & Cushioning

2 years from the date of delivery.

Covers: significant and unusual loss of shape or density under normal residential use.

Electrical Components (Recliners & Motorised Mechanisms)

1 year from the date of delivery.

Covers: motor failure, control unit defects, or electrical malfunction under normal use.

Note: Recliner batteries are not included unless explicitly stated in the Order Confirmation PDF and may be purchased separately.

2. What is Not Covered

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Normal wear and tear over time.

  • Fading, pilling, or texture changes in fabric or leather due to regular use.

  • Damage caused by misuse, physical impact, or accidental damage.

  • Damage from improper cleaning — including use of chemical cleaners, abrasive materials, or non-recommended products.

  • Damage caused by exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, humidity, or extreme temperatures.

  • Stitching wear or loosening due to regular use.

  • Colour or texture variation in natural materials such as leather, marble, or wood grain — these are characteristics of natural materials, not defects.

  • Damage caused during transit or installation arranged by the customer (outstation orders).

  • Products repaired or modified by a third party not authorised by SOISU.

  • Products where the delivery note was signed without recording a defect at time of delivery.

3. Dimensional Tolerance

All SOISU products are handcrafted or semi-handcrafted. A dimensional variation of up to ±100mm from the stated specification is considered within standard tolerance and does not constitute a manufacturing defect. This is consistent with industry-standard practices for handcrafted furniture.

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

Step 1 — Email sales@soisu.com with your Order Confirmation number and a clear description of the issue.

Step 2 — Attach photographs or video clearly showing the defect.

Step 3 — Our team will acknowledge your claim within 3 working days and advise on the next steps.

Step 4 — SOISU will inspect the product (in person or via shared media) and determine the appropriate resolution — repair, replacement of the component, or replacement of the product.

Step 5 — For imported products requiring parts or replacement components, additional time will be required based on import logistics. SOISU will keep you updated throughout.

Important: Warranty claims will only be processed after full payment has been received. Any outstanding balance must be cleared before warranty service is provided.

5. Warranty Service

Warranty service for Mumbai customers will be carried out at your home or at SOISU's facility, depending on the nature of the repair.

For outstation customers, warranty support will be provided remotely or through a service partner where available. SOISU will make reasonable efforts to resolve all valid warranty claims.

6. Limitation of Liability

SOISU's liability under this warranty is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the defective product or component. SOISU shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the product.

Nothing in this warranty limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

7. Jurisdiction

All warranty disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and may be resolved through arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
