Shipping & Delivery Policy

Overview
SOISU delivers premium Italian furniture across Mumbai and ships across India. This policy explains what to expect from the moment your order is confirmed to the moment your furniture is installed in your home.
1. Delivery Coverage
Mumbai — Free Delivery & Installation
SOISU provides free delivery and professional installation across all areas of Mumbai, including the suburbs, Navi Mumbai, and Thane, subject to standard delivery conditions.
All India — Shipping Available
We ship to all major cities and locations across India. For deliveries outside Mumbai, goods are dispatched on an ex-warehouse (Bhiwandi, Maharashtra) basis. This means the customer is responsible for arranging and bearing the cost of transportation from our warehouse to their delivery address.
SOISU will assist by loading the goods, providing the invoice and e-waybill, and guiding your transporter on safe handling. However, SOISU is not responsible for damage caused during transit arranged by the customer.
We strongly advise against partial load or shared truck arrangements for outstation deliveries, as this significantly increases the risk of damage.
2. Delivery Timelines
Ready-to-Ship Products
Ready-to-ship products are dispatched within the timeline communicated at the time of order confirmation. Delivery within Mumbai typically takes 3–7 working days from dispatch.
Custom & Made-to-Order Products
Custom orders take approximately 3 months from the date of advance payment, with a standard grace period of 30 days. Total delivery time is therefore approximately 3–4 months.
Timelines may be affected by factors outside SOISU's control, including shipping delays, Indian customs clearance, changes in import regulations, trade disruptions, or other force majeure events. SOISU will communicate any significant delays proactively.
3. Delivery Conditions
Standard delivery and installation is included for Mumbai orders, subject to the following conditions being met:

A functional service elevator must be available for furniture movement.

Clear and unobstructed access from the building entrance to the delivery floor.

Adequate corridor width and door frame dimensions to allow safe passage of furniture.

Required building society permissions for delivery vehicles and labour must be arranged by the customer in advance.
Special Delivery Conditions (Additional Cost)
The following scenarios involve special arrangements and will be quoted at additional cost, to be confirmed and paid before dispatch:

Manual carry via staircase beyond the 3rd floor.

Use of crane, rope, or pulley systems.

Use of smaller vehicles for movement within a building complex.

Any other non-standard delivery requirement.
4. Storage
If you are unable to accept delivery due to a site delay or personal emergency, SOISU will hold your product at our warehouse free of charge for up to 30 days — provided 100% payment has been received.
If full payment has not been received at the time of product arrival, free storage will not be applicable. In such cases, storage charges of Rs. 800 per day per product will apply, along with applicable interest on the outstanding balance. Delivery will only be scheduled once all outstanding amounts are cleared.
5. Installation
SOISU's delivery team will handle professional installation and placement of all furniture at your home. Our team will also collect and neatly fold all packaging material and place it in a designated area on the same floor or within 100 metres of the site.
SOISU is not responsible for the disposal of packaging waste. If you require waste disposal, we can connect you with a vendor at an additional cost.
6. Delivery Acceptance
Please inspect all products carefully before signing the delivery note. By signing the delivery note, you confirm that the products have been received in good condition and as per your Order Confirmation PDF. If you notice any issue, please record it on the delivery note before signing.
If you are unable to be present at delivery, an authorised representative may accept the delivery on your behalf. Confirmation can also be given via email.
Failure to sign the delivery note or provide email confirmation will render all warranties void.
7. Force Majeure
SOISU shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: shipping vessel delays, Indian customs hold, changes in import laws or BIS regulations, natural disasters, pandemics, trade restrictions, or any other event that prevents timely fulfillment.
In such cases, SOISU will notify you as soon as possible and work to resolve the situation with minimum disruption.
8. Jurisdiction
All disputes arising out of or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and resolved through arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
