The Ala (AW2010C) takes its name from the Italian for wing — a reference to its most distinctive feature: the way the back sweeps gracefully down into the armrests, creating a continuous curving line that suggests flight, effortlessness, forward momentum. In a single compact form (800 × 800 × 800 mm), it carries more design intention than chairs twice its size.

The chrome swivel pedestal base completes the equation — a single point of contact with the floor that makes the Ala appear to hover. It pivots freely, following the sitter's attention rather than demanding they accommodate the chair. Designed by Politecnico di Milano trained designers, available in full-grain Italian Nappa leather (Deep Black, Warm Cognac, Pearl White) or Italian performance fabric for vegetarian households.
