Top surface. Water-dyed. Not split. Not bonded.
SOISU sources full-grain cowhide from Italian tanneries — the highest leather grade, retaining the natural surface grain pattern and dyed through the full thickness of the hide. Water-dyed leather cannot peel or flake because the colour is not a surface coating. It is in the hide.

Flex-endurance. Tested before it leaves the factory.
Every SOISU leather piece is certified to 500,000 bending cycles — the flex-endurance standard used by Italian luxury manufacturers. This is the equivalent of sitting down and standing up three times a day, every day, for 450 years. This test is a factory-floor requirement, not a marketing claim.

Wet and dry. No colour transfer. Tested.
Color fastness is tested wet and dry under controlled conditions. SOISU leather does not transfer colour to clothing or skin, does not fade unevenly in sunlight, and does not bleed in Mumbai humidity. The colorfastness tester reads the natural cowhide surface pores to verify genuine leather authenticity before the hide is accepted.

Full-grain leather breathes through its natural pore structure. SOISU tests every hide to verify genuine cowhide pore integrity — the same analysis used to detect synthetic or split-leather substitution. Genuine pore structure means the leather breathes with your skin, does not trap heat, and does not cause sensitivity or discoloration.

Kiln-dried hardwood. 8-gauge S-springs. High-density foam.
Every SOISU sofa frame is kiln-dried hardwood at 8–10% moisture content — drier than Mumbai's ambient humidity, which prevents warping. Springs are 8-gauge sinusoidal or hand-tied coil. Foam is high-density European grade — tested to resist sagging for 15+ years. These are not catalogue claims. They are the construction standard every piece is built to.

Zero harmful VOCs. Certified safe for Indian homes.
Every SOISU upholstered piece uses water-based adhesive — free of the harmful solvents found in standard furniture glue. Solvent-based adhesives off-gas VOCs into your home for years after the furniture arrives. Water-based adhesive is odourless on curing, certified for residential indoor air quality and better for the craftsmen who apply it. SOISU committed to this standard across its full range.
