Climate: Dry Extremes on Both Ends
Jaipur's low monsoon humidity (70–75% vs Mumbai's 85–90%) means leather sofas face far less humidity stress than in coastal cities. The greater challenge is summer heat: 44–46°C ambient temperatures in May–June mean upholstered furniture in un-air-conditioned rooms absorbs significant heat. Dark leather sofas can become uncomfortably hot in direct sun exposure. Use window treatments (heavy drapes or solar film) to reduce UV and heat load on upholstery. Winter cold (5°C minimum) means morning leather is cold — not a problem if the home has central heating or reverse-cycle AC.
